Special Psychological Services, LLC, was founded by Daniel Bromberg, Ph.D., ABPP in Essex County, New Jersey, in 2006. At that time, Dr. Bromberg was licensed to practice psychology in New Jersey and New York and was Board Certified in Behavioral and Cognitive Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. He had worked as a school psychologist in an urban school district in Central New York, in two suburban school districts in New Jersey, and in one of New Jersey’s four legislatively-mandated regional child abuse diagnostic and treatment centers. By 2006, Dr. Bromberg was experienced in addressing a broad range of issues with which children, adolescents, and families cope. Issues included the following: problems with school-based learning and behavior; sexual behavior problems exhibited by children, adolescents, and adults; and issues involving domestic adoption.
Although his Ph.D. is in School Psychology, Dr. Bromberg had substantive coursework and practicum (supervised clinical work) experiences in (adult) clinical psychology. His doctoral dissertation examined mock jurors’ perceptions of a victim-witness within the context of a criminal trial in which an adult male was alleged to have sexually abused a 9-year-old girl.
In 2024, Special Psychological Services, LLC, relocated to Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The geographic relocation brought with it a focus on conducting forensic psychological evaluations, providing sworn testimony during depositions, and providing expert witness testimony in both civil and criminal matters. Because Dr. Bromberg is currently licensed to practice psychology in several states, he conducts evaluations in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Dr. Bromberg remains eager to help cultivate future generations of clinical and forensic psychologists. Toward that end, he will consider providing post-doctoral supervision for exceptionally qualified and motivated candidates.
